Grass Roots Viewing of Truth About the Iraq War by Billii Roberti

On Sunday, December 7, members of the public who choose to join in will hold thousands of house parties across the country to watch a new documentary titled Uncovered: The Whole Truth about the Iraq War. Rather than wait until a broadcast or cable TV channel decides to buy and air this 56-minute documentary, private citizens are doing it themselves, and thus getting the word out now.

The parties will be brought together through a cross-country conference call sponsored by the MoveOn organization. Participants will watch the documentary together. And at 8:30 p.m. (Eastern), party attendees will be able to dial-in to a call featuring the movie's director, Robert Greenwald, plus the MoveOn team and guests from parties all over the country. On the conference call, Greenwald and team will accept questions submitted online.

The Uncovered documentary combines expert interviews with extensive research behind the walls of government to describe how President Bush and his administration manipulated evidence to take our country to war. Many of the twenty-six intelligence and military experts interviewed for this documentary are speaking out for the first time.

Interviewees include:

Joe Wilson, the former Ambassador to Iraq, whose CIA wife was "outed" by a Bush administration official;

John Dean, counsel for President Nixon during the Watergate scandal;

Rand Beers, former Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director for combating terrorism;

David Albright, a physicist, nuclear weapons expert, and former weapons inspector with the IAEA Action team; and

Clare Short, British Member of Parliament who recently resigned her position in Tony Blair's government as Minister of the Department for International Development.

MoveOn is an organization founded in 1998 to bring ordinary people back into politics by helping them find their political voice.
