So you've tried and tried to talk to God and He/She never seems to listen.
Perhaps you are the one who is not listening.
A long time ago, just after we arrived in America, the Native Americans watched us pray to our God, and they observed that we prayed and prayed and talked and talked about what we wanted, but we never were quiet. We never listened for an answer.
Even if you do listen, how do you listen, and where, and what do you listen for?
From my way of seeing, connecting with inner guidance has first of all to do with a realization that we are not separate from God — that the sensation of being separate is only an illusion. And therefore, everything in the Outer World that we see with our eyes is intimately connected with the Inner World that we call "ourselves."
Our visual perceptions and the perceptions of all of our senses, our dreams, visions, feelings, emotions, intuitions — literally everything that is generated from within ourselves — is intimately interconnected with the world of the stars, planets, and everyday life.
And this interrelatedness, I have found, is beyond the concepts and ideas that science has used to try to explain what God is or our relationship to God. Science believes only in what it can sense and know directly, and there are relationships that cannot be known in this way.
What I do know is that God and this relationship that we all have with God can use words to talk about it only up to a point, and then the concepts go beyond this universe where there is no vibratory correlation.
Connecting with our inner guidance begins with faith and belief that there is a connection to be made. For me, this connection began slowly. In the past, each time that the connection began to take place I would somehow shut it down, perhaps because of my fear of the unknown.
But as time when on, I began to see that the manifest world was alive and conscious and — most importantly — in a good way. Not just the living beings within it were alive, but everything, even the rocks and clouds. Each time that the connection manifested, I could believe a little more. And the more that I believed, the more that God opened His/Her secret world to me.
Now, I rest. I know beyond a doubt that God is alive within me and all around me and that we are One. I know that no matter what, I will always be One with God and that I will always be alive. Perhaps in ways that we don't understand now, but I will always be alive and conscious and One with God.
In the world of separation, you must be careful. In the world of Oneness, there is nothing to fear. It is your choice.
If I could say anything to encourage you, simply trust in yourself and stop worrying about life. It will take care of itself. Look at the world with the eyes of a child and the heart of a unicorn. When the time is right (ripe) all will be given unto you. Do you really believe that your Father/Mother Creator is going to abandon you?

I believe in you. I know that you are whole, complete, and perfect at this very moment, and someday I believe you will know it.
