More About the Alignment of Your Heart: The True North of Your Soul

The more I work on myself, the easier it is to live my passion and my life work. To be in a state of love and joy. To be in a state I call the alignment of your heart.

Being in alignment with your heart indicates a state of non-judgment. Observing choices. Acting from a place of ancient wisdom that exists deep inside. Maintaining what feels right. Releasing and now allowing what doesn't.

Alignment with your heart allows forward motion with grace and ease.

With expansiveness and abundance.

Without limitation.

A great example of this is our recent move and expansion of our healing center. The day we opened our new doors, we were inundated with healers and readers asking to work at our center.

This is Sedona, AZ after all, the capital of psychics and healers. There's a psychic on every other corner and a Reiki Master on the opposite.

With challenging economic times, successful businesses prove to be magnets for everyone. While I have compassion for everyone in the service industry and anyone with a calling to be a healer, I also have to realize what is in alignment for the center.

I struggled with this as a steady stream of healers requested to work with us. Finally I turned to the angels for answers when I felt I was not able to successfully define alignment.

Here's what my angels said,

"Your struggle right now is having compassion for those choosing the same work as you, and for whom it does not appear to be lucrative. While this is kind of you, it does not help you or them to consider taking them in if their work is not in alignment with the goals of the center. When you co-created the center, you did so with the intent that it be an Integrated Energy Therapy (IET) healing and training center. Not to negate other healing modalities, but not to include them either. Therefore, if a healer approaches you and they do not use this modality, they are not in alignment with the intent of the center.

"No judgment.

They're either in alignment or they're not. There's no middle ground."

That helped me to begin understanding the term alignment.

Alignment with the intent….

Alignment with the goals….

Next came a refinement and deeper understanding of the terms 'alignment of your heart'.

Alignment of my heart is slightly different from alignment with our center's goals and intentions.

I'm the only one who can discern my alignment with my heart. Again, it's non-judgment, but through observation and feeling, it's a decision of what is right for me.

And what isn't.

As a writer, I'm constantly given opportunities to write about various people, places, events, and circumstances.

It's always interesting to see how these opportunities manifest.

There are people who just want a platform for their story….

"Wouldn't it be great if you'd write about the synchronicities of my life that have led me to be who I am?"

Those that are very sincere in their desire to benefit from my writing…..

"I love how you wrote that last piece in Maat. And do you know, I actually got a lot of clients from that! It sure would be great if you'd consider writing another piece."

And those wanting to make a difference in the world….

"I have some inside information on the situation in California. I think it would be an interesting story…."

With each request, I go within to my heart.

I feel what it's like to be in alignment with my soul's purpose. For me, my body relaxes, my breathing slows. My prana tube feels straight and pointing to the true north of my soul. I remind myself that I'm here to teach, heal, write, create and serve.

And when I feel in alignment with my heart, I know no limitations, no conflicts. I feel joy and abundance. I experience expansiveness, strength, and an inner knowing of what is right for me.

Then I ask, "Is this right for me? Is this in alignment for me and my soul purpose? Am I the best one to do this? Is this---if I do this---for everyone's highest good and healing?"

I usually know instantly.

Yes or no.

No excuses. No explanations unless a part of me needs that. No judgment.

It's either in alignment or it's not.

This is how I've discovered the alignment of the heart. Not just through my writing, but through all my choices I make.

So what happens when I ignore my alignment or when I need a refinement lesson?

An artist approached me with her portfolio. Her pastels were yummy and very angelic. She offered to let us hang some angel portraits in our center.

My heart said, "See them first and then agree or disagree."

My head said, "Hey, we'd love to have some angel pictures. We're an angel healing center. Her portfolio is awesome. It'll be fine."

She brought in her angels toward the close of the day. I tried to look at them without judging them.

But something in them absolutely repelled me. I couldn't name it and honestly didn't want to. I was so troubled by the incongruity between her portfolio representation and the pictures that I couldn't even express it out loud.

She left the pictures with us and all night long, as I tried and failed to sleep, her images haunted me.

Finally toward early morning, Angel Ariel said to me, "Look, they bother you because they're not in alignment with your image and sense of angels. No judgment. They're either in alignment with you or they're not."

I called the woman first thing to have her come and get her pictures.

Alignment of your heart.

It gets easier and easier to sense and recognize.

And when there's alignment, there's effortlessness, expansion, abundance, joy…..

Who would want it any other way?
