Evidently the French are being punished for refusing to go along with the GMO program. God bless them for having the good sense to "Just Say 'NO!'". Maybe it will lead other nations to do the same. INSIDE JOB is a 108 minute documentary which takes on the topic of the current global economic crisis and shows clearly how it all happened, step by step. It even names names. "There is such a thing as smart angry and such a thing as stupid angry, and after seeing INSIDE JOB, audiences will be smart angry." Ferguson lays out all the key players, circumstances and events that helped to create this "Perfect Storm" of financial devastation. It strips away the Republican vs. Democrat smokescreen and shows that avarice and disregard for one's fellow human beings are not affiliated with any party. None of them considered the ethics involved in what they were doing. It will make your blood boil.
GASLAND is a 107 minute documentary by NY theatre director Josh Fox. In 2006 Josh received an offer of $100,000 in payment for the gas and oil rights on his 16 acre family homestead. Like everyone, he could always use the money but decided to check out just what it would mean if he signed that contract.
Needless, to say, it is shocking in the extreme, especially when we realize that once Fmr. VP Dick Chaney muscled through a law in 2004, that freed these gas companies from any legal or financial repercussions for poisoning the entire water system in the United States, they went hog wild. Then Halliburton was hired to dig these wells. There are currently tens of thousands of "fracking" gas wells all over the United States, including on BLM lands which are owned by all citizens. Fracking is done when about 500 chemicals are sent thousands of feet into Mother Earth where they are exploded and, of course, mix with ALL water. Their waste waters kill everything on the surface.
A few telling images in this film: chemically burned animal carcasses, massive deaths of fish, birds and even farm animals losing weight and big patches of their hair; scenes of homeowners igniting their drinking water straight from the tap and the burning of toxic gases that have turned low populated grasslands into areas where the air is more toxic than Los Angeles during rush hour and the landscape ruined by wells and equipment housing units.
And what are our politicians doing? Nothing. A local government group of 300 in Ft. Worth, Texas investigating complaints regarding gas fracking, tried but got fired the following year when they lost the federal government grant which paid their salaries.
I am serious when I say, GAS FRACKING WILL KILL ALMOST EVERY MAN, WOMAN, PLANT AND ANIMAL IN THE UNITED STATES IN A MOST PAINFUL WAY, UNLESS SOMETHING IS DONE TO STOP THEM NOW. The Gulf Oil Spill and other oil spills will probably finish off the rest of the planet.
FAIR GAME is based on books by exposed CIA agent Valerie Plame and her husband Ambassador Joe Wilson. We all know what our government players and the media said, but this film is the other side of the story. We all can easily recognize that the same thing would happen to us, were we in their place.
