In the love story of Isis and Osiris some say Abusir was where Isis brought together the pieces of Osiris and healed him. On the walls of the nearby Saqqara pyramids hieroglyphics write about Isis or "Aset" (in Egyptian) and Osiris or "Ausir". Abusir means "house of Osiris". Abusir is a cozy little set of ruins an hour south of Cairo. Abusir is also connected to Isis' parents Ay and Tiye who learned to ascend through their loving relationship, and traveled from Lemuria to Atlantis to teach this way of ascending (Drunvalo's Flower of Life Vol. I, pg. 92).
I would like to thank Kata of Lemurianawakening.com for organizing our trip. She reserved the Great Pyramid for two hours so we could do ceremony alone in its chambers at sunrise on the day the total eclipse of the full Moon that occurred on the Winter Solstice Dec. 21, 2010. This is only the second time this rare celestial event has occurred in over 2,000 years. I read online that around this special day earthquake sensors erroneously reported maximum earthquakes, Saturn recorded its largest storm, and very unusual 4 degree magnetic pole fluctuations and other data indicated the whole Earth vibrated and wobbled by at least 1 degree.
Lemurianawakening journeys are special. Plans can change in an instant due to the energy. I went on the Montserrat, Spain journey but missed the Palenque, Bolivia, New Zealand and Tibet journeys. My heart goes on all their adventures! Our group came from Hungary, America, Germany and England with three very special children and two young adults.
I flew from Los Angeles to Cairo and was taken to a large apartment with a view of the pyramids. I arrived first so I cleaned and opened the windows to let in the cool winter Egyptian air. The next day we visited the Sphinx and the Giza Pyramids. We sat down to meditate near some ruins in front of the Great Pyramid but were chased away by a guard saying sitting was not allowed. Instead we went to a clearing towards the parking lot and meditated. Our meditation had an "effect" because when we went back to tour the ruins the very same guard invited us into an area closed to the public. We went in, up and down ladders into a cool dark room where we did ceremony, danced and sang. Our magical trip began!

The next day we drove to Abusir. Special permits were obtained ahead of time and we had to hire a tourist policeman from Cairo to go with us. He smiled and let us go wherever we wanted. He even gave us stones to take home. I took one to Hawaii and left it in a heiau tide pool.
In its day Abusir was magnificent. The layout of the ancient city with its pyramids so near to the temples and homes made it feel like a "small town". An inclined road led from the watering hole to the ruins. At the top we found a unique temple which was closed off, but an old man showed us the way to climb over the wall in the back.
This unique temple has a two person open crypt which is viewed from an overlooking balcony, and a clearing surrounded by twenty rectangular stone monoliths. Each monolith is the size of a large door with a figure carved on it. It's like an indoor mini rectangular Stonehenge.

We joined hands in a circle inside the rectangle of monoliths. An interesting thing happened. Things became very still, but there was movement in the air. Kata said to feel the presence of the ancient Egyptians around us. I couldn't detect them. Then she said to sense everything, including the smells of scents. That did it. At first I started to smell wonderful faint wood like exotic scents. Then ancient Egyptians who looked like those in hieroglyphics were suddenly moving amongst us carrying little dishes with scents or burning incense! They were walking in a pattern. Then an ancient Egyptian woman got very excited. She motioned to the others they're here, they're here! They were so happy to see us. It's as if they were waiting to see if the future existed. Our appearance confirmed this. We were somehow projected right into the middle of their ceremony. I just stood there dreamy and wondering is this really happening?
They knew exactly what I needed. Two beautiful women came and stood beside me; then I was fully there. I will admit this. It was their feminine beauty that drew me to become fully there. They knew this and considered it "natural". It's just a "natural" organic part of the human male and female. They wisely knew how to appropriately use this powerful healing energy. In fact, in a way they actually honored it. I believe we'll be happier, healthier and take a big step forward when we learn to do this.
The ancient Egyptians were wearing flowing white robes and moved gracefully, but they had lively quick steps with smiles and laughter. Very different from the "serious Egyptians" you see in the movies. They had a magnetic energy like glitter. What I remember most was their awareness and hospitality. They were focused and tuned in to what was going on with us and each other. They noticed everything about me. We call it "hyper aware", but to them it's normal. I felt like a bump on a log watching them smoothly scurry around serving us with such attention to detail. I felt welcomed unconditionally. They were warmly affectionate in a sparkly kind of way. I felt like I mattered. I felt so doted on. They moved with such delight, grace and finesse that their simple movements were like beautiful dancing. Smiles that made me smile, facial expressions that put me at ease and glances with infinite depth that slowed time. I was being so very cared for and loved in an infinite way I can't describe.
On this Winter Solstice on the day of the total eclipse of the full Moon, two points in time were bridged. Does time criss cross itself like the up and down escalators at the mall? If you're going up, you can see the people coming down when the escalators criss cross like the infinity symbol? Maybe this is how we can be in our hearts and minds at the same time.
In April 2008 I attended the Return of the Ancestors gathering in Sedona, Az. Something the speaker from Iceland said stuck with me. Angaangaq the Elder from Iceland said something to the effect that you can simply repeat the motions of the ceremony as you were taught or you can "really do ceremony". While watching the ancient Egyptians do ceremony I understood what he was talking about.
We shared space with the ancient Egyptians. We did ceremony and "festival" together. I say "festival" because their ceremony was exciting, purposeful, fun in a childlike way and it was emotionally alive. I learned that ceremony is like "cooking". You can cook by simply going through the motions and following the recipe, and yes the dish will come out. But if while cooking you are festive and cook joyfully while hugging, dancing around and singing, all this love will go into the food. The food (and the ceremony) will have in it the magic of Abusir. Be festive while eating too!
Abusir touched us. In the temple we found a large hall and immediately knew it was a dance hall! We laughed, held hands and danced. Our ceremony became festive. We were like kids laughing, playing and making up our own dances. That night we played a game in our apartment. Tina is an aroma therapist and she had over twenty tiny bottles of scents. The game is one person lies blindfolded on the couch, while others secretly wave different scents in front of their nose. This game is a most precious gift from Abusir. If you ever visit Egypt, walking distance from the Sphinx is a famous scent store. I bought bottles of Rose, Mint and Egyptian Jasmine. Egyptian Jasmine (Jasminum Sambac) is called Pikake in Hawaii and is given in leis. It has a heavenly romantic scent.
Ay and Tiye left their home in the Pacific to teach how to ascend through loving relationships. I believe part of their teachings were to put your ear over a person's chest and listen to their heart beat, to meditate in pairs, and to do the "Sufi Dance" that Drunvalo teaches (put your left hand on the other person's heart, then put your right hand over their left hand and sing "you are my beloved I open my heart to you" and look each other in the eyes for awhile). Mother in-laws try this with each other and your daughter in-laws. The three of you make up the sacred feminine triangle. If no one's around, meditate over the phone with a friend even if just for a minute! Parents, together try something like this with your children at bedtime.
We awoke early in the morning of the Solstice and drove to the Great Pyramid. It was dark and the full Moon was setting as the Sun rose. Having the Great Pyramid all to ourselves was a gift of a lifetime. We got to relax, be at home and bond with the Great Pyramid. We meditated and sang in the King's chamber. I watched as one of the children did her own little ceremony. She waved her arms and sounded with her voice into each of the four walls. It was incredible to watch. Having children participate helped me to stay spontaneous and playful. Next we balanced the masculine of the King's chamber by hiking to the feminine Queen's chamber. Kata had us do this in silence (I laughed at the thought that silence helps the feminine to be balanced). Lastly we hiked down to the Lower chamber. It had a soft green light, a pleasant youthful feeling and a chasm pictured below which so closely connects us to the heart of our dear Gaia, Mother Earth.

Kata wrote, "The time we were allowed to enter to this magnificent ancient building was 4am and it was still dark and silent all around us. We had the most powerful hours of the Winter Solstice right in the heart of the great pyramid. In a beautiful opening ceremony we greeted the guardian of the place to allow us to open the gate of the Solstice and the newly arriving love energies from the heart of the Universe. The timeless time we spent there in the presence of the Masters was very special".
Kata published the "Winter Solstice Global Crystalline Meditation 12/21/2010". Below is the link and here are excerpts. "Bring a glass of crystal clear water and your favorite crystals for the meditation. Bring your favorite instrument, bell or singing balls. Sounds will help to complete the process at the end. . . Feel our beloved Earth as a living entity and please feel her smiling love as you connect her heart back to the heart of the Universe. Crystalline bridge between realities is the symbol of stepping further on our path. . . greet the water in the glass you brought. Fill it with the light from your heart. Drink some of it and pour the rest into a natural water source later, such as a creek, river, lake, sea, all are perfect. This simple act keeps your heart connected to the crystalline heart of the Earth . . . To complete the whole ceremony there is one more thing to do. Please sing a song from your heart. Sing it with all your love and newly gained crystalline vibration, to maintain the harmony of yourself and planet Earth. Sing from your heart to her heart and feel as the entire Universe will sing along with you. . . Being crystalline is our next evolutionary step. 2011 is the year to teach us so much more about it."

If you ever hike the pyramid's chambers, it's difficult. It's steep and sometimes you have to stoop down or crawl through tunnels. Take your time and some water, and let others pass. Bathrooms are to the right of the ticket office. Normally you can only visit the King's chamber, and if the guards rush you while you're in it, just tip them with "baksheesh".
Later we walked from the first to the third Pyramid and the children got to ride the camels. One of the children took off her shoes and walked. I tried it for a bit and was amazed at how different it felt! Just standing still in the sand barefoot, my feet could feel the energy.
Proportionately the three Pyramids are exactly in the same position to each other as the stars of Orion's belt. Superimpose Orion's belt onto a photo of the Pyramids and you'll see! I've done it, see the link below. Interesting how the Stars of Orion's belt retained their Egyptian names Mintaka, Alnilam and Alnitak. We walked the Pyramids' path of the stars into the late afternoon.
Ages ago the southern shafts of the Great Pyramid each pointed to stars the Egyptians associate with Isis and Osiris. The Queen's shaft pointed to Isis' star Sirius or "Sopdet" (in Egyptian) and the King's shaft pointed to Osiris' star Alnitak of Orion's belt. The romantic in me believes that when the stars are right, Isis and Osiris can be together and feel and experience their lives in our unique wondrous human form given to us by Mother Earth and Father Sky.
As evening approached we reluctantly went to say our farewells to the Sphinx. The calm vastness of the soft sands of Isis' Sahara blessed us as we did a closing ceremony in front of the Sphinx and hugged as we watched the Sun set on Osiris' Egyptian sky on the shortest day of the year.
On this Winter Solstice, the full Moon eclipsed, distant Saturn stormed, magnetic north wandered and Mother Earth vibrated and wobbled. My understanding of our trip is that the ancient Egyptians glimpsed into the future to see if anyone was out there, to see if humanity had made it. I sensed that even in ancient times they knew there was a possibility that we wouldn't have made it this far. Our joining in ceremony with them was a celebration of the success of life. A celebration that the balanced masculine and feminine hearts of humanity had kept beating enough love through the years so that we had not destroyed ourselves or died out. We're alive! We made it! No matter what happens we're "safe" Our ancient ancestors beamed with joy that their "message in a bottle" floated across the oceans of time and finally made it. Their message told us to make this journey, where a "crystalline bridge between realities" connected us to share a loving moment across the ages. They are proud of themselves and of all of us. Each and every one of us has helped create a living timeline through this grand cycle. It's as if time has made a big loop and the goal was to keep life going until the loop was complete. In this petal shaped loop, we all have participated in growing a living petal in the ever blooming, ever loving, Flower Of Life.
