Be Love Now

By Heather Fraser

It is an unseasonably cool late April day. The sun is shining. The sky is a brilliant cloudless blue, but I can hear the wind whipping against the windows making them rattle, and I am content to simply feel this gorgeous day from inside my apartment instead of stepping out into it.

It's like viewing a great piece of art. I savour the moment, the creation of beauty before me, and am filled with deep love and gratitude for such genius.

I am being love now.

If I were not, I would have missed the moment, perhaps even missed the entire day, wrapped up in the mind of doing and effort.

To know we are love, and to BE it in every moment is to embody our true nature. This is the unshakable truth that we have come here to live, and to live in it fully and unconditionally no matter what life throws at us.

This is The Beauty of Being.

To be love now means to accept whatever is before you. What is before you right now in your life? What are you facing? What situation, person, circumstance, place, or thing is teaching you to be love now?

It can be anything you either are loving or hating. If you are loving it, then to be love now means to amp up the flow of appreciation and gratitude for it in your life so more of it can flow to you.

If it is something you are hating, then to be love now means total and complete acceptance of whatever it is. Whatever it is, it is reminding you to be love now, and in so doing you allow room for change to come.

To live our lives with the love for all of life in our hearts, regardless of the circumstances, is to be free. There is not a single thing in existence whose true nature is anything but Spirit, including ourselves. When we recognize this truth we begin to see how everything that happens in our lives, both pleasurable and painful, is all part of the benevolent loving energy of Spirit. When we become lovers of Spirit, our suffering ends because everything is Spirit manifesting through us, and most importantly, this teaches us to become lovers of ourselves. It becomes impossible then to judge what's good or bad. It just is. We learn to become one with life and to simply be love now. This is the Beauty of Being.

To be able to rest in the beauty of being is to know peace, belonging, and an unshakable sense of inner security. This is home, and it is solid, and it is eternally ours to own.

I've often found it helpful to play a little game with myself when I find that I am arguing with reality and wanting something to be different than it is. First I become aware that I am not being love now. Something is making me feel unloving, fearful, angry, resentful etc. Once I pinpoint what it is I ask myself is there really anything I can do in this moment to change what is happening? If there is, then I take action. If there is not, then I have learned that resisting whatever it is, is simply an act of self-abuse, and it is self-abuse because it is taking me away from being love now.

One of the hardest realities for me to accept has been that the man that I love lives several hundred miles away from me. I continually find myself arguing with this reality, wanting him to live closer, wanting life to be different than it is, wanting to take control and force My Will to change this reality instead of accepting that Spirit is in all things, in all situations, and that if I simply let go and allow the energy of being love now to flow once again, that the door to what my heart truly desires may actually be opened through Spirit's Will, not mine.

When we resist anything, energy constricts, and doors slam shut. This never feels good, and it is a great way for us to notice (how we are feeling) where we are shutting off the flow of love, and what thoughts have taken us out of being love now.

So much is changing in our world now, and I feel that in the not too distant future, what we will need the most to adapt to these incredible shifts and changes is to live our lives by what has never changed…by what has always been the simple truth. Love Is. To live our lives by Being Love and By Being Love Now, has always been, and will forever be, our only salvation.
