Why Channel for Personal Growth?

The reason channeling is an excellent tool for personal growth is because it is about tapping into your innate ability to communicate with all of life. Channeling is not about abandoning yourself so that a more evolved invisible being can jump inside you and show you the way. Channeling is about tapping into your highest wisdom, the wisdom that already exists inside of you, the wisdom you perhaps ignore, choosing instead to go with the tried and true methods of self-deception humans are so good at. Channeling involves making ourselves vulnerable to living a life of integrity and truth. While not foolproof, it is also not about diving further into spiritual fantasy.
When we join in the cosmic web of oneness, and accept that we all affect each other, we know that whatever wisdom brought through our physical form is already known to us in some way. If you are channeling art, music or ideas, you know that the potential for those ideas already existed within you, and are simply being activated by your willingness to open and do it. With wisdom and words it is no different. The more you do it, the more information can come through.
I am weary of prediction channeling, as the information coming through is only as clear as the person who is channeling, and as events are not fixed. At the same time, my guides are rarely wrong in my own life when they prepare me for things. I hold the intention for personal growth in individual sessions and groups because it does not rely on a specific outcome, but relies instead on the intelligence of the journey. On occasion predictions will come through, but I think of that information as offered in the spirit of growth, not in the spirit of outcome. What I don't support is some false dependence placed on information coming from a source outside yourself to tell you what to do. As you tap into the realms of energy through channeling, that energy is brought through you, and this is what is so powerful for so many. This energy is touching them, activating the wisdom already inside, activating some known place that may have been temporarily lost.
Channeling is very different from being a psychic. There is nothing wrong with being a psychic, and that label itself is open to interpretation, but channeling high-level guides is about learning, not about telling you what to do. I have had a few frustrated clients insist that my Higher Self tell them what to do next, and if I were a real channel I could do that for them. What a pain. My Higher Self wants nothing to do with any one else's power and will not take it, and my own integrity for my work doesn't disappear because I am channeling.
I stress that channeling is not a gift given to enlightened beings, it is a birthright given to all of us. We are not reliant upon others to tell us our next move. We have access to that information ourselves a good deal of the time. As humans, we can also block it to allow a thorough understanding of a learning process. Helpers, elders, therapists & healers are all important, but only when they are holding your empowerment as their first priority.
95% of the people I teach to channel do it right away. The other five percent tend to have a lot of blocks psychically, mainly because they cannot let go enough and refuse to acknowledge the psychic information they are receiving as psychic. Many insist they are making it up, they need some sort of validation they are not open to receive or fight me in the process of learning. I usually suggest that more spiritual and personal work be done to help open the channels, but most of the time they don't want to do this. Other people simply are not developed enough to be able to handle dealing with the psychic realms in a mature way. Some are really stuck in their paradigm, but its working for them, and opening up their channel might throw their life into an upheaval they are unconsciously afraid of. Developing psychic skills can be a huge, burning desire for many, so if they are really stuck, but set on opening up, I would suggest Ayahuasca or LSD. Hey, it worked in the 60s and it still works now.
Connecting to our Divine Selves, and our Divine Helpers is about taking the time to turn on a function that we have forgotten, so that we may live authentic lives with less suffering, so that we may feel connected at all times, so that we may help empower others to find this for themselves.
For myself, channeling has offered me the truth of my life path. It took throwing away wishful thinking and delusions and stepping into wisdom and maturity. It wasn't easy, but it had become too painful to do it any other way. While I would not say that life itself has become easier, the way I perceive it has shifted dramatically through the support of the channeled wisdom.
