The Black Madonna OR: What's Up From The Waist Down?
By Cynthia Olivera de Kapp
I am in the deep jungle. I can smell the dark, musky scent of the wet Earth as I inhale deeply. It is hot and humid, but the colors are vibrant and alive, and the trees are laden with thick vines and flowers. As I am taking in this lush land, my gaze falls on yellow eyes staring at me, watching. I am startled when I notice they belong to a woman. She is on her hands and knees, with a look of wild freedom in her eyes. Her body is sleek and muscular and she exudes raw, sexually energy as she circles around my feet. I stand frozen, knowing that this is the Black Madonna. And as soon as I have the thought, "This is no Black Madonna I know!" she stands up, and stares intensely into my eyes and says:
"I have many faces."
Oh Boy!
We joined our energies this night, and embarked on an adventure that will not be forgotten.
I will say that my understanding of our sensual nature took a new direction from this point on.
Using a variety of essences helped me to travel deep into the Earth that evening, and my investigation into the world of spiritual sexuality became one of my primary focuses.
So many of my friends and clients are amazingly talented spiritual beings from the waist up, but have forgotten how to engage with the second chakra, the place of our passions, creativity, financial abundance and yes, our sexuality. We know that the first three chakras have to do with our journey here in 3D reality, but many of us are cut off from the waist down. We have some deep emotional programming that keeps us from our juicy, empowered, exquisitely vibrating selves. Religion has made sex dirty, ugly, unclean and just plain wrong. This kind of thinking leads into a life of poverty, pain, suffering and barren-ness. We need to awaken and accept that sexuality is one of our grandest powers.
Kuthimi-Agippia, channeled through Michelle Eloff, writes (and I have edited for content) that it has been written within the ancient tablets of life that the key to freedom is through the realm of the Holy Grail; in other words, through the merging with the feminine power (the yoni) which is the merging with her sexual energy. This is why, still to this day, men (not all of them) will overpower women and rape them because there is an unconscious motivation to reconnect with that life-giving force. There has been much abuse of the sacredness of this sexual quality. Men instinctively know that by uniting with the goddess sexually, they are taken to the "Gates of Heaven." And, it is only through the merging with the sacred goddess (the bringing together of those sexual energies), that the magnificent ascension spiral representing the strands of DNA is created, which elevates the energies beyond the mundane, and takes you into higher realms.
As women, we have given ourselves away and have engaged sexually for jobs, money, relationships, or because we wanted to be wanted or needed, or were lonely. We have been victims of abuse, shame, and guilt, and dis-honored over and over again by ourselves first and then by each other. Our biggest abuse is what we have done to Gaia, our precious Mother Earth. We know that because of all the mixed messages from the media or the twisted view points from our religions and cultures, there is rampant pedophilia, selling of our children, date rape, and drinks still being spiked in social settings, just to name a few.
It is time for us to take back our power: the power of being human and loving our bodies. All of it — not just some of it. We cannot heal with the planet and move into our ascension until we love and heal our sexuality, and become totally truthful and honest with how we feel about it. This is the first step.
In our Sexuality Workshop for Women, my friend and colleague Katrin Diamond and I, guide our students into bathing internally on the land with essential oils, choosing an area of sacred land each woman feels comfortable with. We cleanse away all the times that we have not respected ourselves, and cut the cords from the past so we are cleansed of any old energies, rapes (or other violence), and/or affairs that might still be lurking in our yonis. This way, we can dream our future from a pure place of wholeness, and bring forth a new power and medicine that can help us gain our mastery.
What if you were to enjoy your sweet, sensual nature and bring yourself (alone or with a partner) into new states of ecstasy? What is your capacity to enjoy pleasure? Exploring the height of our power and source of magic is one of our greatest gifts as spiritual human beings.
Like the vision I described of the Black Madonna who was ripe with creative life force, we have to take back the freedom of our sexuality. It is our birthright to be purposeful with our mates and lovers and intend our highest connection to Source while we are making love.
With all the misunderstanding about our sexual nature, as spiritual beings, it behooves us to understand the power of The Holy Grail and how it benefits us. As Bjork said in an early CD, "It takes Courage to enjoy our Sensuality" — and I couldn't agree more. This is holy work and what fun to be so holy! After a good orgasm you look and feel better, younger, and your gait becomes light as a feather. In Conversations With God books by Neal Donald Walsh, he talks about how orgasms remind us of how powerful we are and how God-like we are. This is very true. Most married people I know really need to have more sex. Partners need to join their hearts, lips and 'privates' in loving union to Source.
Drop what no longer serves you. Free yourself from your limited beliefs, and enjoy your God-given right to enjoy all of yourself with love, joy, and wild abandonment. After all, isn't making love a whole lot better than making war? Let's forgive these old patterns and enter the New World with our wildly free, Sensual Selves.
